Staple 2007, drawing a sketch for a fan!

Kristin Hogan has been an artist since the first time she held a pencil. Originally interested in the field of animation, Kristin's world changed at the age of 12 when she was introduced to Wendy and Richard Pini's ELFQUEST. It was from then on she knew comics were her true calling.

She graduated Cum Laude from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2001, with a double major BFA in Sequential Art and Video/Film.

She currently lives in Austin, TX. She very much enjoys her full time work at Blue Genie Art Industries, where she helps create all manner of crazy sculptures, murals, and fabulous magical creatures.

She started DEAD SQUIRREL GIRL in 1997, co-created with her sister, Katie. It was premiered at the Crescent City Con XX in New Orleans in August 2006. Future cons she will be a part of are the Blue Genie Art Bazaar and Staple Independent Media Expo.
